Professor Giustino Varrassi Retires from World Institute of Pain to Focus on European Expansion of U.S.-Based NEMA Research, Inc.

Rome, Italy, 20 December 2020—Professor Giustino Varrassi, MD, announced today that he has joined NEMA Research, Inc., a clinical research organization based in Naples, Florida, to assist the organization’s efforts to expands its European and international presence.  Dr. Varrassi was a full professor of anesthesiology and pain medicine at the L’Aquila University, Italy. He is a founding member and past-president of the European Pain Federation (EFIC^®) and of the European League Against Pain (EuLAP^®). He is current President of the Paolo Procacci Foundation, Roma, Italy. He has authored hundreds peer-reviewed academic publications, contributed to dozens of medical books, is Editor-in-Chief of two leading scientific journals, and has been an invited speaker at over 500 medical conferences worldwide.
